What is a combo item?
A combo item bundles multiple menu items together at a single combined price. For example, a Burger Meal combo might include a burger, fries, and a drink — presented as one tap on the POS at a set price. The POS walks the server through each component in sequence.
How to create a combo item
- Go to Catalog then Items.
- Click Add Item and name the combo (e.g. Burger Meal Deal, Family Pack).
- Enter the combined Sale Price.
- Select the Category and click Add Item & Setup.
- On the item settings page, enable the Combo toggle.
- Add the component items that make up the combo.
- Click Save.
How combos appear on the POS
When a server taps the combo item, the POS walks them through each component in sequence — prompting for any required modifier choices (like which size drink or which side). The total always reflects the fixed combo price regardless of individual component prices. This makes upselling easy and keeps pricing consistent.
Combo pricing tip
Set the combo price slightly below the sum of the individual items to incentivize guests to order the bundle. The price difference shows up clearly in your sales mix reports so you can track combo adoption.
