How to process transactions when offline
If your internet goes down, Vivid POS continues to accept cash transactions. Credit card processing and access to past transactions will be unavailable until the connection is restored. Once back online the terminals sync automatically with each other and the cloud.
Look for the black offline banner at the top of the screen — if you see it, check your internet connection and contact support if it persists.
How to split checks
- On any open order, tap the split icon.
- Choose Split Evenly and enter how many ways to split.
- Or choose Split by Position for fine dining where each guest pays for their own items.
- Paid checks show green — open checks show red.
- Tap Merge at any time to combine split checks back into one.
How to set a count for items

- Long press the item on the POS menu.
- Tap Set Count.
- Enter the maximum quantity available.
- Once the count is reached, the item grays out and cannot be added to new orders.
